Welcome to Everest Hikes! By booking a trip with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Booking & Payment
A minimum deposit of 20% of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu before the trip departure.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or cash. Additional charges may apply for international transactions.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your trip, our refund policy is as follows:
A. Cancellation by the Client
More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus a 5% administrative fee.
15 to 30 days before departure: 80% refund of the deposit.
Less than 15 days before departure: 50% of the deposit.
No-shows or early departure: No refunds will be provided.
B. Cancellation by Everest Hikes
In rare cases where we must cancel a trip due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest, natural disasters), we will offer:
A full refund of payments made, OR
The option to reschedule or transfer the booking to a future date.
3. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all our trips. It must cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, evacuations, and accidents.
Everest Hikes is not responsible for any expenses incurred due to accidents, injuries, or medical issues during the trip.
4. Health & Fitness Requirements
Clients must be in good health and physically fit for the selected trip.
Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed at the time of booking.
5. Passport & Visa Requirements
Travelers must hold a valid passport and obtain the necessary visas for Nepal and any other destinations on the itinerary.
Everest Hikes is not responsible for visa refusals or delays.
6. Itinerary Changes & Delays
We reserve the right to modify the itinerary due to weather conditions, roadblocks, flight delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Everest Hikes is not liable for additional costs resulting from trip delays, flight cancellations, or force majeure events.
7. Risks & Liabilities
Adventure travel involves risks, including but not limited to altitude sickness, accidents, and unpredictable weather.
Everest Hikes will take all safety precautions but is not responsible for personal injuries, lost belongings, or trip interruptions due to natural or personal circumstances.
8. Code of Conduct
Clients must respect local customs, cultures, and environmental guidelines.
Disruptive behavior, illegal activities, or failure to follow the guide’s instructions may result in trip termination without refund.
9. Complaints & Disputes
Any complaints should be reported immediately to the trip leader or our office for resolution.
Legal disputes, if any, shall be handled under the laws of Nepal.
