I was on Everest Hikes and Rajan for two weeks – and honestly it was one of the best experiences of my trip through Nepal.
I wanted to go out on my own, but I’m so glad I decided to go with a guide. Rajan simply knows the mountains and villages inside out. He knows when to go which route, where to eat, and has always created a safe and relaxed atmosphere.
What I especially appreciated: Rajan knows people everywhere. You can tell that he comes from the region himself – this makes it much easier to get in touch with locals, get to know their culture and see places you would never have found without him.
In the evenings we often sat with the local people, heard stories and laughed a lot.
Even for vegetarians and vegans the food was not a problem – Rajan always made sure that I was well looked after. The lodges were simple but super cozy and perfect for backpackers or travelers on a smaller budget.
Overall, the tour was much better than going it alone: safe, fair in price, full of beautiful impressions and encounters. I felt in good hands from start to finish and can absolutely recommend Everest Hikes (and Rajan!) – especially to young travelers who want to experience Nepal authentically and without stress.

Did the Annapurna circuit with Sharan, and cannot recommend him more!! Super knowledgeable about the landscape and culture, and made sure to take care of me when the altitude made me a bit ill. He listened to how I was feeling, and made me feel confident in my and his abilities even on the toughest days.
He was always happy to teach us about the mountains and the culture, showing us around monasteries and always making sure we had a cup of hot tea wherever we ended up. He made sure we had all the right gear, and took us to buy the bits we needed, ensuring we were well prepared. Loved our conversations, he never ceased to make me laugh!
Not only is he a brilliant guide, he’s an incredibly kind, funny, and friendly person to everyone around. Everywhere we went he made sure to talk to the porters, hikers, and tea shop workers which really warmed my heart. In the case someone outside of our group was unwell or needed assistance, he always jumped in to help, and is super community focused, and is in it for the people and connections you make along the way. I feel very lucky to have such an amazing friend for life! Will definitely be back in Nepal just to have the chance to hike with him again.
I had the pleasure of doing the 8 day Langtang Valley Trek in October 2025. Right from the start when I landed in Kathmandu, the team organised for airport transfer to my hotel, and offered to show me around Kathmandu.
I did the Langtang Valley trek with my guide, Ram. Ram’s enthusiasm for the mountains, his 20 years experience in trekking, together with his understanding of the route, the people and culture of Langtang Valley never fails to amaze me. He is the best guide you can have for the Langtang Valley trek, as he will explain to you the significance of different buildings along the trek, as well as how the 2015 earthquake devastated the lives of people in Langtang, and what they are doing to rebuild their way of life.
Ram was also very professional, constantly taking care of my friend and going above and beyond to help us. I sincerely recommend contacting Everest Hikes and asking for Ram if you’re considering to do the Langtang Valley Trek.

We had such a great experience with this agency. Communication was clear and responsive even before we arrived. They made sure we had a soft landing with a warm, traditional welcome and took care of everything we needed – even waiting with us at the hotel until our room was ready.
Before the trek, they helped us with all the preparations and arrangements, lending us jackets and walking sticks at no extra cost. We also got great restaurant recommendation and met our guide the day before the trek, which made us feel really comfortable.
Throughout the trip, the team was always available for any question or need. Our guide was professional and attentive and made sure we had good accommodation, food, and even helped with any small health issues along the way.
After returning from the trek, they helped us store our extra gear at the office and even invited us for a farewell dinner to wrap up the experience together. It really felt like they cared from start to finish.
When preparing for the trip, my son and I selected a beautiful trek with Rajan, with the emphasis on enjoying nature and taking our physical limitations into account. It became the Langtang Valley trek. Upon arrival, Rajan picked us up from the airport and took us to our hotel. Rajan also purchased some extra equipment in consultation with us (ski poles, gloves, etc.) so that we could start the trek well. The trek itself was fantastic and we enjoyed it immensely. His guidance was great, he arranged all kinds of things well in advance and his personal approach was very nice. In addition, Rajan was able to tell us a lot about the area and no question was too much. Thanks to Rajan, our trip went super well. Thank you for that.

Excellent – recommended! Rajan arranged a 4-week trip to Nepal for my father, brother and me. He joined us as a guide for the Kanchenjunga Basecamp trekking. We had a really excellent experience (in fact, this was our third trip to Nepal with him!). Everything in Kathmandu was carefully arranged, such as airport pick-up, hotel and taxi to do some sightseeing. Domestic flight and jeep were well organized. But most importantly, Rajan is an experienced, reliable and always helpful guide. We would never hire anyone again in case we would go again! He knows a lot about the country, different areas, mountains, health (he has medical certificates), flora and fauna, hiking trails, is respectful to customers and locals, he is flexible and always thinks along with you. His service is 100% and he takes very good care of his employees (in our case two porters). We have known Rajan since 2013 and he has since expanded his network outside Nepal, such as Tibet and India, so we would also go to him for trips to those places.

I hiked up to Gokyo Lake with Rajan, and it turned out to be a very beautiful hike. At first, I wasn’t sure about my fitness level, so we planned a more relaxed itinerary with extra days built in. I was able to keep a good pace, and Rajan had no problem quickly adjusting the plan to include a visit to Everest Base Camp as well. He is well-organized, flexible, always ready to help and really cares about your experience on the trail.
Since the Gokyo-Everest trek turned out so well, I didn’t hesitate to return just two weeks later to hike up to Kanchenjunga Basecamp. It was an unforgettable experience.
Saran is a very experience and professional guide. He makes sure the hikers are well taken care off and he doesn’t rush them. He pria tivelt will show the hikers the nice spots for photography. Lodges that he put us up are decent, clean and nice. Overall, I would highly recommend Saran’s service.
